Enjoy your pets!At LuckyDogs we are all about relaxing or having fun with your pets and making the most of our time with them. Likewise, we figure when you’re home with them... you want to do the same! So we combed the web looking for ideas, and found some really cool stuff to share with you!

One thing you can do is to take an extra walk or two with your canine companion when you’re off work to enjoy the holidays. If you have never done so before, joining Harlo’s Healthy Pets and others for their Pack Walk at T.Y. Park is a wonderful way to spend time with your fur baby! This month’s edition takes place on Sunday, November 24, 2013. They start at 9am, but ask you to be there by at least 8:45 and allow time for parking etc. Please click the link above to learn park rules and exactly where to meet up with them!

Do be sure to avoid feeding the wrong scraps to your pet on Thanksgiving Day. Here is a good article that has pointers on what is best for various pets. If you have enough time on your hands, and love to spend time in the kitchen, you might enjoy making some of the following holiday pet treats for your dogs & cats and those who are on your holiday gift list!
  • Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Dog Treats
  • These look really tasty, especially good for wrapping up as gifts... and the great part is that the site they’re on makes it easy to adjust the recipe for whatever size batch it is you want to make!
  • Five Delicious Thanksgiving Pet Recipes
  • Mini Muttballs & Ditalini, Turkey Treats for Dogs, Puppy Meatloaf; and two kitty treat recipes: SassyCats Special Dinner, and Kitty Catnip Cookies.
  • Three more Dog Treat Recipes
  • What could be better than Breathbusters (we know you want these!), Hypoallergenic Dog Treats, and Martha Stewart’s Homemade Dog Biscuits!
  • Homemade Grain-Free Thanksgiving Dog Treats
  • These are actually called "Kitsune's Grain Free Thanksgiving Treats" and as you know, grains are not good for dogs or cats to eat... the less grain there is in their diets, the better!
  • Homemade Doggie Gobblers
  • This recipe can make use of some of your leftovers after Thanksgiving... but is also good to make alongside the holiday dinner so your pups won’t feel left out!

Hi, my name is Annette Filecci. I am a Miami native, one of the few! I have been pet-sitting in the Hollywood and Hallandale area for the past several years now, and I couldn't think of a better job for me. I love animals and have almost always had a pet around, from birds to fish to dogs, cats - even worms and snails - so I am very experienced with all kinds of pets!

I am married with three children and we have lived in East Hollywood for the past decade.
